Once again, we had the pleasure of taking part in the Klässe Experience Calçotada — one of those events we look forward to every year.
In Catalonia, winter months bring with them one of the region’s most beloved culinary traditions. More than just a meal, the calçotada is a celebration that turns the table into a gathering point for friends — and the perfect excuse to reach the restaurant via a great driving route through winding mountain roads.
The day kicked off early with breakfast at the Grand Hyatt Barcelona, the ideal starting point to fuel up before hitting the road. A total of 39 supercars and around 80 people came together — a true family united by a shared passion for cars and fine food.
We attended with our Alfa Romeo 4C Cattivo Prototipo Nr. 01, alongside a lineup that speaks for itself: multiple Porsche 911 GT3, 718 GT4 and GT4 RS, Ferrari 296 GTB and GTS, 488 Spider, McLaren 765LT Spider, several McLaren 720S, two Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder, Gallardo, BMW M4 Competition, Mercedes-AMG GT S, and more.
After the briefing, we fired up the engines and set off towards the Michelin-star restaurant Ca l’Enric, in La Vall de Bianya. The zero car was driven by instructor Xavi Giménez. We were also joined by special guest Frank Porté — Hadeca Racing driver in the Porsche GT3 Cup — behind the wheel of an Alpine A110 GTS provided by Atelier Alpine Barcelona.
The route was nothing short of spectacular: sweeping bends, the stunning landscapes of La Garrotxa, and a drive through La Vall de Bianya and Camprodon before arriving at a well-deserved lunch.
We started with aperitifs and calçots on the restaurant terrace under a warm winter sun, before heading inside to enjoy a tasty chuletón and desserts.
