On September 19, the seventh AutoBello of the season was held at the Real Club de Polo in Barcelona, where we were present together with our official distributor for the Barcelona area, Rosso Fiorano. Focused as always on the best movements in the world, cars and watches, it brought together motor enthusiasts and personalities from the sector from Catalonia and all of Spain.
After having been present in 2024 in the Valencia and Madrid editions, we could not miss our city for the AutoBello Barcelona edition either. The event returned to the Real Club de Polo after several years in which the venue was the Sitges Golf Club and the San Marçal Castle (2023). The weather threatened rain until the last minute, but there was a prize for the brave and in the end they did not have to take out their umbrellas. Once again the event became a motor party for the local automotive sector, both in the world of classic and sports cars and business in general. Camaraderie and good manners are essential at AutoBello, and the Mahou bars once again became the meeting point par excellence. There was also no shortage of wines from Bodegas Heras Cordón, Caserío de Dueñas, Italian food from Academia del Gusto, Café Guillis or Tabacos Moods, which also offered liquors. Degussa showed investors the possibility of investing in gold bars and other precious metals. And a classic that is never missing at AutoBello is the stand of the watch company most closely linked to the world of motors: TAG Heuer.
As always, the main show was on the field, with the best brands and the most amazing sports cars. At AutoBello, both classics and modern sports cars and motorcycles fit in, although attendees know how to value the pieces of greatest historical value. In this edition, the car that raised the most expectations due to its rarity and beauty was the Bentley MkVI from 1947, with a bodywork created in aluminium by hand by Pur Sang ten years ago. These Argentine coachbuilders are true masters and their Bugatti T35 replicas are almost indistinguishable from the originals. The car exhibited by the people in charge of AutoStorica, Barcelona’s leading specialists in classic cars and restoration, is unique and is an elegant reinterpretation of what a post-war Bentley competition car would have been like. The exterior is full of beautiful details, such as the large front grille, the split windscreen and the side air vents. With the steering wheel on the right and the gear lever on the right, the interior is also made of aluminium. It has a naturally aspirated four-litre inline six-cylinder engine with three Weber carburettors that produces 200 hp and emits a beautiful sound.
There was also a high level in the area of Rosso Fiorano, official LLAGOS distributor for Barcelona, specialists above all in Italian sports cars. The model that most caught the attention of fans was the beautiful and award-winning Alfa 1900 with a Zagato aluminium body, two-tone red and yellow, and with original Madrid registration. Alongside it, other top-class Alfas shone, such as a Giulia GT Bertone, our SZ “il mostro” which we have subjected to a top restoration, our deeply modified Alfa Romeo 4C Cattivo which serves as our development car, a 4C Spider with some LLAGOS modifications, and two modern Giulia Quadrifoglio, one of them in the spectacular Montreal Green colour and equipped with Cattivo forged wheels. Our Cattivo and LLAGOS x ERREERRE Dolce vita forged wheels were also on display in its area, as well as numerous sports cars from friends and clients, such as a Ferrari 308 Dino GT4, an elegant, recently restored black 400i, two 348s, a 599, a FF and also one of the three Lamborghini Aventadors that attended the event.
A curious model, perfect for the summer, was the buggy from the Spanish-German manufacturer from Madrid (Ben Heiderich) with a perfectly restored Porsche engine, which was exhibited by the specialist in high-performance models, Autocorporatione. In the same area we saw a beautiful Maserati 3500 GT. Among the exotic models, the De Tomaso Longchamp and the Dodge Challenger convertible from the 1960s also stood out, both with original Spanish license plates from 1977 and 1970, respectively.
Porsche is always the protagonist at AutoBello with abundant models from all eras, so there was no shortage of new and desired 911s: a 997 Sport Classic, a 992 S/T (essentially a 992 GT3 RS with manual transmission, limited series). Porsche Barcelona brought together clients and friends, as did Barcelona specialist Juliá 911, who drove everything from a classic 911 “Safari” to various 356s and even a first-generation Cayenne prepared for extreme off-roading. A curious model due to its configuration was the 928 in a pink exterior and interior, a factory colour.
The presence of Quadis, the largest network of official dealers and workshops in Spain, allowed attendees to enjoy the latest developments from the numerous prestigious brands they distribute, such as Audi, Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, Land Rover, Lamborghini, Maserati and MG. Among the modern Ferraris, two of the new Purosangue (dark grey and metallic green) stood out, as did a wonderful yellow 812 Competizione, which was the most admired. Lexus exhibited its range and there was no shortage of new models that had just arrived on the national market, such as the 2024 Q6 e-tron and RS e-tron GT from Audi Barcelona, the 2024 Cupra Formentor and Tavascan, the Jeep Wagoneer S or the range of premium electric models from Voyah, a Chinese brand that has just arrived in Spain thanks to Salvador Caetano Auto.
As for motorcycles, we saw interesting pieces such as the BMW Six Days, an exact replica of the motorcycle created by BMW to compete in the 1979 Six Days Enduro, and the BMW Endurance, designed to compete in endurance races in the classic category, developed between 2005 and 2010. Fans who were young in the 90s fell in love with the Yamaha FZR OW01 created to compete with the Honda RC30, and in limited production. The Triumph Street Scrambler 900 Sandstorm Edition, limited to 777 units, the Ducati Monster S2R 800, transformed into a café racer with a hand-made tail and custom-made windscreen, and the Ducati SS 900 ie converted into a café racer also did not go unnoticed. After the parade and the elegance contest, the attendees were able to enjoy dinner.
