After having been present during the 2024 edition of Valencia, the AutoBello tour landed in Madrid, also debuting a new location, where we were together with our authorized distributor in the area with our Alfa Romeo 4C Cattivo deeply improved both aesthetically, mechanically and dynamically and exhibiting some of our forged wheel models that we manufacture in Spain.
If last year the chosen location was the Club de Campo, this time the meeting point was the Driving Range of courses 3 and 4 of the Real Club de Golf La Moraleja. Indeed, golf courses are ideal places for this type of event, where cars look magnificent and visitors enjoy an elegant day in the open air.
The social aspect and camaraderie is essential at AutoBello, and the event becomes a meeting point for the automotive sector, both in the world of classic and sports cars and business in general. The cars were arranged along the entire meadow, with the jury counter in the central area. There were numerous food outlets nearby, perfect for fighting the heat and enjoying the views in good company. As always, the Mahou bars became the meeting point par excellence. There was also no shortage of spirits from Love Spirit, Dalmore whisky or Licores Trampero, nor wines from González Byass and Viña Pedrosa.
Attendees also enjoyed Italian food from Accademia del Gusto, appetizers from Grefusa, Frinsa preserves, Revilla Anchovies, Gracias Padre, Moods cigars or Guilis coffee. This year, the Gold zone was also launched with a chill-out area, which delighted gourmets. And since not everything in life is about cars and watches, the dream homes were provided by Gilmar, while Degussa offered attendees the chance to invest in gold bars and other precious metals. A classic that is never missing at AutoBello is the stand of the watch company closest to the world of motors: TAG Heuer.
As always, the show was on the grass, with the best brands and the most amazing sports cars. Porsche Ibérica exhibited its latest innovation, the brand new Macan Electric, which shone surrounded by numerous models from the brand’s clients. Members of the Porsche Spain Club gathered in a separate area. Santogal, official Ferrari dealer in Madrid, exhibited the coveted Purosangue, the super-SUV that everyone wants but very few will be able to own. There was no shortage of other models from the range that are perfect for the summer, such as the Roma Spider or the SF90 Spider.
Among the modern Ferraris, a wonderful 812 Competizione in dark metallic red was the most admired. Lamborghini Madrid invited its clients and friends, some of them at the wheel of the new and spectacular Huracán STO. Astara Retail, the capital’s distributor of Bentley, Maserati and Ineos, set aside an area with its latest developments for clients and friends, with a Macallan bar included. Other high-end car specialists in the capital such as Autotrade, Aguilera Autopremium, Dreams Cars or our authorized dealer PKW Drive Club did not want to miss the event and exhibited magnificent pieces.
However, among the modern supercars the stars of the event were undoubtedly the Bugatti EB110 and Centodieci, both in the authentic blue colour that identifies the Gallic cars. The EB110 was presented in 1991 and was born thanks to the initiative of Romano Artioli, the businessman who brought the Alsatian brand back to life. The EB110 was at the cutting edge of technology with its carbon fibre structure, a 3.5 V12 with gearbox distribution, five valves per cylinder and four turbos and all-wheel drive. The maximum power was 560 hp for the GT version and 610 for the SS. Only 134 units were manufactured (Schumacher bought a yellow one) before the company went bankrupt in 1995. Regarding the Centodieci, the tenth and last unit manufactured was delivered in December 2022. It was a tribute to the EB110 of the 90s and used the mechanical base of the Chiron, with the 8.0 W16 engine with four turbos and 1600 hp.
The inspiration in the lines of the EB 110 is perceived in many details of its bodywork, and it cost eight million plus taxes. One of them, white, was bought by Cristiano Ronaldo. The other great sports cars manufactured in the neighbouring country, the Alpine, are increasingly present at AutoBello. Their A110 two-seaters are classics from the moment they leave the factory, and this time they also exhibited the new A290, their 100% electric compact sports car that evokes the legendary Renault 5 Turbo “fat ass”. As for the classics, the heat in the capital did not prevent many brave souls from taking their jewels out of the garage.
The oldest and most elegant, the beautiful Rolls Phantom I from 1929 with a “transformable” bodywork, exhibited by Pueche, Spain’s leading specialist in high-level classics. From the same period but focused on racing, the sensational Alfa 6C 1750 (1930) with a Zagato bodywork. Among the sports cars from the 50s and 60s, the most exotic were a Pegaso Z-102 Touring cabrio Serra, a model with a unique bodywork brought by Pueche, and one of the nineteen Aston DB4 Zagato manufactured.
This jewel arrived in Spain from its previous home in Canada. The representation of classic Ferrari was also outstanding, starting with the beautiful 275 GTB exhibited by Shelter Garage. Another beauty that we were able to admire was the 330 GTC with original Madrid registration together with its evolution, the 365 GTC. These two models are practically identical in terms of design, with the exception that the more modern one has ventilation outlets on the hood. About 600 units of the first were manufactured, while only 150 of the second were made. The renowned restorer Félix Valladolid attended with a Dino 308 GT4 and a 512 TR.
And not everything was classic, but also new models recently arrived on the national market were exhibited, such as the Alfa Romeo Junior, the Cupra Tavascan and Formentor 2024, the Lancia Ypsilon, the Lexus LBX or the Polestar 4. And special thanks must be given to LG and its magnificent televisions, which were essential for many attendees to experience Spain’s victory over France in the European Championship live. After the match, more than 1200 guests were able to enjoy the gala dinner. After the good feelings regarding the new location, fans and organizers hope that in 2025 the event can be held again in this privileged location.
