It’s always a pleasure to collaborate with clients like Juan García—especially on such a special project as his Alpine A110 Légende. We’re passionate about cars like this: light, agile, and built for those who love pure, unfiltered driving, whether on track or on the best mountain roads.
In this project, our goal was to enhance both the aesthetics and the dynamic performance of the car. From the very beginning, our relationship with Juan was close and collaborative, as we guided him through the selection of dimensions, forged wheel model, configuration, and accessories.
Juan’s main priorities were lightness and performance. He aimed to reduce rotational mass as much as possible, increase the track width without using spacers, and fit semi-slick tires without going for an excessively low profile. For that reason, we opted for an 18” diameter. The wheels were built in staggered sizes: 8×18” at the front and 9×18” at the rear. The offsets were precisely tuned to fit flush with the wheel arches, improving both the aesthetics and cornering speed thanks to the increased track width.
The model chosen was the Cattivo Pista, perfect for the look the client was looking for. Its design and extreme lightness make it an ideal option—especially in the 18” configuration, where its visual presence truly stands out. The resulting weights were just 7.7 kg for the front wheels and 8.2 kg for the rear, achieving a significant reduction in unsprung mass. The benefits: sharper performance, increased agility, improved braking, faster acceleration, and even lower fuel consumption.
With the model selected, it was time to define the final configuration. This Alpine already featured numerous tasteful mechanical and aesthetic upgrades, using original Alpine parts and components from top-tier specialists. Naturally, the wheels had to match that level. Juan chose to place his trust in us and in our experience designing wheels for top-tier motorsport and Formula 1—ensuring maximum engineering, quality, and lightness. We didn’t disappoint, and we’re proud to say he’s fully satisfied with the result.
The car’s elegant Gris Tonnerre paint and orange accents already gave it a refined racing look—but Juan wanted to take it one step further. He chose Racing Orange Opaco in a satin finish from our LINEA PERFORMANTE color range. This was combined with CNC-machined Racing caps in Anodized Racing Blue Gloss, and as the final touch, we created custom glossy carbon fiber center caps with Alpine logos in Bianco Monte Carlo, through our LINEA SPECIALE customization program.
Once the configuration was finalized, we began the full design and engineering process, tailor-made for this car, using specific load ratings, dimensions, and offsets. Machining was done from a solid block of forged 6061-T6 aluminum, removing over 70% of the material to sculpt the exact shape of each wheel. After machining, the wheels went through the finishing and painting stages—a process that takes several weeks of precise, high-level technical and artisanal work.
Shortly after receiving his wheels, Juan sent us a video to thank and congratulate us on the result. For us, that kind of feedback is the ultimate reward—and the true driving force behind everything we do.
